Marshall 1959 Super Lead Plexi
Justin Hawkins's primary amplifier during The Darkness's classic era — always on, always loud. He ran the amp without a dedicated drive pedal, using guitar volume and picking dynamics to control tone. Both Hawkins brothers ran identical 1959 Super Lead setups through Marshall 4x12 cabinets with Greenback speakers, creating a dual-Plexi wall of sound on stage. The 1959 Super Lead is the reference standard for British hard rock — the amp that AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, and The Who built their sounds on.
