Martin N-20

The Martin N-20 is a classical nylon-string acoustic guitar introduced by C.F. Martin & Co. in the 1960s. Willie Nelson's N-20, purchased in 1969 and named Trigger, is one of the most famous guitars in American music. Nelson has played Trigger on virtually every recording and live performance since then, wearing a distinctive hole through the top from decades of flatpicking — an unusual technique for a classical guitar. The guitar has been signed by hundreds of artists over the years, covering its body in handwritten names. Despite its fragile condition and several repair attempts, Nelson has refused to retire it.
