Gibson ES-125
The Gibson ES-125 was Gibson's budget hollowbody — a single-cutaway archtop with P-90 pickups that serious players overlooked in favor of the ES-175 and ES-335. Its raw, mid-heavy tone turned out to be exactly the sound George Thorogood needed. He bought one because he couldn't afford anything else and discovered that its aggressive P-90 bark through a loud amp produced a blues-rock tone nobody else had. His signature White Fang ES-125 TDC, produced by Epiphone, became one of the most recognizable guitars in blues-rock.
