Roland Juno-60
The Roland Juno-60 is a polyphonic analog synthesizer introduced in 1982, featuring a built-in chorus effect that became one of the most recognizable sounds of the 1980s. Simpler and more affordable than the Jupiter-8, it offered a warm, chorus-drenched pad sound that appeared on countless records of the era. Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran used the Juno-60 for string pads and atmospheric textures throughout the band's classic period. Its built-in chorus circuit — which could be engaged independently on two settings — gave the instrument a distinctive shimmer that influenced synthesizer production for years.
