All Them Witches

All Them Witches formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012 and quickly became one of the most compelling bands in heavy psychedelic rock. Their sound draws from desert rock, blues, psychedelia, and Southern roots music — heavy but never formulaic, with a willingness to stretch songs into extended improvisations. Lightning at the Door (2013) and Dying Surfer Meets His Maker (2015) established their reputation. Nothing as the Ideal (2020) is their most acclaimed album, its songs building slowly from quiet tension to crushing volume. Guitarist Ben McLeod and vocalist/bassist Charles Michael Parks Jr. have a telepathic musical chemistry. They occupy a space between Kyuss, Black Sabbath, and Neil Young — heavy, psychedelic, and unmistakably American.
