Mondo Generator

Mondo Generator is the project of Nick Oliveri, former bassist of Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, formed in 1995 directly out of the Palm Desert scene. Their sound is rawer and more punk-inflected than their contemporaries, running the desert rock template through a hardcore filter. Cocaine Rodeo and Dead Planet / Speed Queen are their key records. Oliveri's connection to the founding generation of the genre gives Mondo Generator an authenticity that few bands in the scene can match.
