Marshall JMP
The Marshall JMP (Jim Marshall Products) series, produced from 1965 to 1981, is among the most influential amplifier designs in rock history. The 100-watt Super Lead and Super Bass heads defined the sound of hard rock and heavy metal across three decades. Used by virtually every major rock guitarist of the era -- Jimmy Page, Angus Young, Pete Townshend, Ritchie Blackmore, and hundreds more -- the JMP's combination of power tube saturation and aggressive EQ voicing became the foundational sound of British rock. Its plexi-panel models from the late 1960s are among the most sought-after amplifiers ever made.
